I was thrilled with the lovely bay window in our spacious room and loved the hassle-free check-in with the key lock box.

The small double room had a cozy vibe, decorated with an eclectic mix of aged charm and faded plastic flowers. The quirky breakfast room offered a bizarre decor that made for an interesting start to the day, even if the breakfast itself didn't hit the mark.

Parking is a bit of a puzzle, with only three hours available using the hotel disk before you have to clear out until 5 PM for free street parking. The overall dated feel of the room was noticeable, with poorly finished paintwork and low beams in the loft room that had me ducking constantly. If you're expecting a good shower, be ready for the low pressure that might make your bathing experience a bit lackluster. the window was painted shut, which wasn't ideal for fresh air, and the window blind did nothing to block out the early morning light, making sleep a challenge. Keep in mind, the surrounding street adds an interesting aroma, sometimes not of the pleasant variety.

The breakfast spread was tasty, and the hotel maintained a high standard of cleanliness. Just a heads up, consider parking ahead of time as on-site options are limited.

I booked a two-night stay at Rowntree Lodge. The location impressed me, being close to the beach and the town center. The room felt spacious and clean, with enough storage for our things. Staff members were polite and attentive, making us feel at home, especially during breakfast. there were some issues. The shower pressure could be hotter, and we had difficulty finding the right temperature. the parking situation was a bit complicated, and permits were limited, which caused some hassle during our stay.

Had a fantastic time with friends here! We explored the Spa Cliff Lift and wandered along the beautiful beaches. The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was really good. The staff were friendly and served up plenty of breakfast options. Just a heads-up, though, they don’t check breakfast inclusions upon arrival, which caused a small hiccup.

One downside was the warm temperature in our room on the top floor. It was hard to sleep with the heat, even with the fan provided. It didn’t ruin our stay, but was definitely something to keep in mind.
